Join Getty horticulturist Jackie Flor for a tour of Robert Irwin’s Central Garden at the Getty Center. As part of the spring season display, a section of the Bowl Garden is devoted to California native wildflowers, including several varieties of nemophila, commonly called “baby fivespot,” “baby blue eyes,” and “penny black.” Hundreds of clarkia, lupine, poppies, tidy tips, yarrow, and nemophila will be erupting into a rich tapestry of blooms. These annuals will be wrapping up their life cycle by summer and forming seeds for coming years, making this a special opportunity to witness their springtime blossoming.
