Family Workshop: Decorating Sugar Skulls at Sherman Gardens

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 10/29/2022
Let’s celebrate Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead! During this fun family workshop we will be learning to decorate sugar skulls or calaveras de azucar. These traditional decorations are an important part of a traditional Day of the Dead Altar or ofrenda and you will see them featured in the Sherman altar in the garden. Join Genevieve Barrios Southgate, Director of Community Programs at the Bowers Museum for this relaxed class in our outdoor classroom and learn how sugar skulls feature in traditional celebrations. Age 5 and up. Fee: Members $25, Non-members $30. (Adults and children should each book one place)
