Inclusion Through a Heart-Mind Lens: A Journey of Identity and Belonging with Shelley Moore!

 

How do we build inclusive environments for all young people to feel a sense of belonging?

 

Expert educator and researcher, Shelley Moore, will share her own story of inclusion and how her understanding of belonging has deepened and evolved over time. Bringing an inclusive lens to fostering social emotional learning means being mindful of the different environments, contexts, and histories that children inhabit and bring to their places of learning, be they at home, in nature, or in schools. Through stories, humour, research, and practical ideas, we will learn from Shelley about neurodiversity, disability, and gender identity, and how to effectively build on every child’s strengths and uniquenesses.
