The Other Art Fair is more than just an art fair; it's a weekend filled with family-friendly experiences and the chance to inspire budding young artists. This edition (its 14th in LA) has planned a particularly kid-friendly edition with their Kids Create activities, allowing them to exhibit their work in a real booth, join a scavenger hunt, play Art Detective, and more.

The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, returns September 25–28, 2025, to the iconic Barker Hangar in Santa Monica for its 14th and largest Los Angeles edition. Showcasing 150 independent artists from around the globe, the Fair combines affordable contemporary art (priced from under $200 to $2,000) with immersive installations, live performances, interactive programming, and family-friendly activities—making art collecting inspiring, approachable, and fun for all.

Kids Create activities:

“Picture Yourself” - Imagine you’re an artist who was selected to exhibit at The Other Art Fair. Create a masterpiece using the art supplies provided, and hang your piece in the Kids Create booth for all to see.
‘The Other Art Fair Detective’ Discover the seven elements of understanding art, and use your skills to investigate your favorite artwork at the Fair. You’ll be an art expert in disguise in no time!
‘100’ for 100 by John Paine Bring color to this illustrated mural by Sydney-based cartoonist and illustrator John Paine. In celebration of The Other Art Fair’s 100th global fair edition, John has drawn one hundred art history-related drawings. Can you pick out the famous artworks, cultural moments, and artists in his design?
“I Love Art” Stamp Scavenger Hunt by Joe Kraft Jump into an engaging scavenger hunt that combines exploration, creativity, and artistry. Find all four stations, each featuring a unique stamp, which together form parts of a larger, cohesive image designed by Chicago-based artist Joe Kraft. *This experience is available while supplies last.

This year debuts THE DREAD SPA, a soul-cleansing series of restorative experiences including Auditory Odyssey, an immersive sound bath by Allison Bagg; The Karmacy 2.0, a playful installation of karmic exchanges; Animal Guide Oracle Readings; Aura Portraits; and The Salon Carré, a Parisian-inspired art parlor featuring curiosities, objects, and tea leaf readings. Kids can dive into creative workshops, scavenger hunts, and hands-on art activities, making the Fair an inspiring and fun outing for all ages.

Additional highlights include Opening Night with DJ Phatrick + complimentary whisky cocktails by Balcones Distilling (Sept 25) (Sept 25), Friday Late Night fun (Sept 26), a performance by Mariachi Tierra Mía (Sept 27), and complimentary tea leaf readings in The Salon Carré (Sept 28). Visitors can also enjoy interactive art-making, curated collections such as Under $500 and Blind Date with an Artwork, and a stylish Fair Lounge hosted by Boheme Home Staging.
